Holland Trip... Day 4 @ Zaanse Schans

Hi there, it's me... I'm back again!! Sorry for the long absence... I've been busy with... uhhh... growing up! Hehehe! Daddy would say I was busy being naughty, but I guess that is part of growing up, isn't it? ;-)

Here is the continuation story from our trip to Holland last year (can you believe it's almost been a year already??). Enjoy the pics here, taken during a trip to this beautiful place called "Zaanse Schans" (don't ask me to pronounce it!! Heck, even daddy can't get it right!! hahaha!)

Here's some strawberries to start the day, after a hearty breakfast! So fresh and yummy!

It's the start of a rather long journey to Zaanse Schans. As usual, I'm strapped to the car seat, mandated by law in this country... Bother!!

On the way, we saw this double-decker train! Not something we see everyday back home in KL!

Holland has many of these windmills... harnessing power from the wind! Now, that's smart...

Finally, we've arrived at the destination. Greeting us is this museum, which we didn't bother to visit... Straight on the windmills!!

Some "artistic" (read "funny") sculptures were visibly seen all over the place...

Can't remember what caught my attention here, I think must be some mandarin ducks that wandered nearby...

An interesting drawbridge (mini one!)...

We visited a cheese factory, and managed to get quite a few samples... yummy, I l-u-r-v-v-v-e cheeeeeeeeeese!!!

Hip, hip... hurray!! Uncle Mike and Aunty Sue are feelin' on top of the world!!

We found some of these cute things (don't know what to call them!)... they move when the wind blows across... this duck flaps its wings...

...whereas for this one, the man will move up and down, as if manually rotating the windmill...

here, ducky ducky... here!! i got some cheese for you... hmm, on second thought, mebbe not! i'll have it for myself! hahaha! :-)

it was quite a warm day... auntie jasmine came up with a great idea... icecream for everyone! :-)

wondering why i'm travelling backwards? it's the sun... too glaring and hot!! clever mommy and aunty jasmine! ;-)

this is a replica of the first Albert Heijn store (it's a large chain of supermarkets throughout Holland, much like Tesco, Jusco or Parkson... you get the idea!).

ahh, the ever graceful swan... how i wish i can glide on water like that...

daddy can't stop eating... here he is, buying hotdogs and burgers... i want some too, daddy! those chips, i want i want!! hahahahaha!
