teatime at westin

going out on weekends with family for a cuppa at a swanky hotel... ahh, what a way to enjoy life... hehe! here's a picture of all of us, smiling away... err, a bit shaky and blurry right? i think it's auntie phoebe holding the camera. hmm, must be because she's not used to this camera... ;)

here's another of us, this time mommy's the camerawoman... ahh, much better!! :D

weekend at gran's...

ahh, it's good to be at granny's home over weekends, especially when everyone is there. here's uncle george looking happy that i'm not crying whilst in his arms. hehe!

auntie jasmine is trying to get me to drink some water, but cousin gina wants some of the action too, or is she trying to give a hand as well?? hmm...
btw, do you like those red striped socks? i love 'em... too bad they're getting a wee bit too small for me... i'm a growing boy!! :-)

here's auntie phoebe, finally getting a chance to hold me. don't close your eyes, aunt phoebe! hold me tight!!

lunch outing with my family

a few weekends ago, i went out lunching with my mommy, daddy, granma, aunties and cousin gina. i had a really good time! i mean, it beats staying at home anytime!! hahaha! we went to starhill in KL for some thai food. it was at this classy restaurant called MyThai by jim thompson. the atmosphere was great, but a bit dark. i didn't get to taste any of the food (as usual!), but from their reactions, i think it wasn't all that great. as you can see below, daddy was carrying me at the entrance of this restaurant. i loved the hanging lights, couldn't get my eyes off 'em!!

(clockwise from left) here's auntie jasmine, auntie soo lee, cousin gina, auntie phoebe and grandma... all waiting to be served! :)
below, i was again mesmerised by one of the bright candles burning along one side of the restaurant. but mommy better not bring me too close... i might get burnt by it!

here's mommy carrying me after a satisfying bottle of milk... burped me and all. oops, you can still see some milk at the corner of my mouth... sorry!! hehe! i think i disrupted her lunch midway, she's still got some food left on her plate!! but i can't help it... i was soooo hungry!! mommy always say patience is not one of my virtues... oh, well...

here's everyone after the lunch, taking a shot together outside the restaurant (background). they all look satisfied, don't they? i don't know about the food, but the place was really nice. :)

my play-gym...

hi again!! i hafta say sorry, for being missing in action for a while! hehe! that's why no updates recently until now...

anyway, here i am again and i'd like you to see my new play-gym! nice, isn't it? i like the colours, bright and cheery. there's a myriad of toys and sounds to stimulate my senses too!! the bee that i'm lying on makes a beep beep noise when i hit it hard on its nose... its wings rustle when i roll over it... and all those toys hanging above me rattle when i reach for them with my hands! :) i had so much fun rolling about and playing in there! as you can see, cousin gina loves it too, although she is a bit too large to fit inside anymore... ;)

this closeup shows me concentrating hard on something... must be the baby elephant hanging from one of the overhead arches... hehe!

8th Jan, 2006... my baptism

finally, the time came for me to get baptised. daddy and mommy had this planned for ages already, but due to some timing issues, it could only be done this month. anyway, here i am, arriving at Jesus Caritas Church in Kepong Baru, where both mommy and daddy are parishioners here. to be frank, i was a bit sleepy that day, and mommy has put me in such a comfortable position on her shoulders...
... i just couldn't resist the temptation to catch a quick nap, and here i am caught by the camera dozing off... zzz... zzzz....

hmm, i wonder what mommy is talking to godma about? and what are they holding? i know i'm supposed to wear a gown for the baptism... part of tradition. but still, a gown? i'm a boy, you know! later, i'll show you what the gown looks like. good thing all my other mates had to wear it too, boy or girl. at least i'm not alone... hehe! ;)

and this is the gown i was talking about earlier... daddy is trying to put it on for me, while mommy carried me. it seemed a bit awkward, and the material is quite warm... not something you'd like to wear on a sunny afternoon in a church without aircon! but, i toiled on with it... fortunately, it wasn't all that uncomfortable after all!

see? my other mates all had their gowns on too! so, at least it wasn't so awkward for me to wear it. hehe! blessing us is Father Mitchel... he's a nice guy! :)
this is the actual baptism with water, where Fr would pour some holy water over my head. luckily it was only for a short while, and only a slight bit of my hair was wet. i can feel daddy's arm getting sore, as he was groaning a little as he held me in that rather difficult position. his arms were starting to tremble a little too!! hehe! daddy, you gotta work out more!!!! :D

ahhh, finally the whole thing was over, and we gathered round for some pictures together with friends and family. pictured here are my grandma, aunties and cousins.
grandma and auntie joyce took their turns taking photo with me now. carrying me is auntie joyce's godma, and beside her is her daughter, auntie anne.
here's one taken with mommy, daddy, Fr Mitchel and godma.
i looove this pic!! don't i look absolutely fab in that gown? both grandmas look goooood too!! now that i think of it, the gown wasn't so bad after all. ohhh, and you know what? i've learnt that the gown actually belonged to my uncle ivan, who used it for his baptism when he was just a young baby like me... which i think must be many moons ago... ;)
this is another shot of us one big happy family! godma is carrying me this time... everybody looks so happy for me! thank you, everyone, for coming to my baptism! you've made it extra special for me, and i'll never forget it.
here's a closeup of godma and i. she's quite pro in handling babies, you know... despite her *young* age!! hehehehe!
uncle paul and auntie angie joined us too, although a little late. =)

thinking...

in this picture, daddy caught me scratching my head with his camera. obviously, i was too deep in thought to notice it... hehe!

my godma...

hi!! let me introduce my godma to you... auntie imelda! this was taken at her place, she just moved in to her new condo, and invited a few guests over. quite a lot of people gathered at her house that day, you know... i'm not sure i like big crowds, though. but godma was very nice, she let me use her room for a quick nap, and a fresh change of diapers... don't worry, godma... didn't soil any of your stuff!! hehe! :D

this is godma's pal, auntie renee. godma is carrying auntie renee's baby boy, gabriel. he is only slightly older than me. maybe later on when we are bigger, we may get along well... who knows? :)

this is another shot of godma and i. her sofa is very comfy... mmmm...

new year, new haircut...

hi!! do you like my new hair cut? it's been a while since i had my last haircut, and what better time to have a new one than on new year's day? hehe!! this time, granma didn't take to the task herself... she said i'm a big boy now, can go to the barber's for a proper haircut. :D you like it?

auntie angie's sister saw me in this look, and commented that i look "so man... so macho"!! hehe! i can't agree more... *ahem* hehehe! ;)

that's me enjoying a ride on my favourite swing again. you must be wondering what i'm staring at... why, my new hairdo, of course... there's a mirror above me, but not visible in this picture! :)

sighh, i soooooo love car rides, they are sooooooo comfortable!! i really like this seat dedicated just for me. wraps around me just nice, keeping me snug and fit. no wonder i doze off as soon as i'm put in it while daddy is driving, despite the many dips and bumps on the roads. zzz... zzzz....

christmas day '05!!

after a joyous christmas eve celebration at granny's (mommy's mom), we went to my other granny's house (daddy's mom). the first person to greet and carry me is grampa!! he looks mighty pleased to see me! the christmas tree behind him is also very nice!! :D you may not see it, but underneath that tree are lots and lots of presents... and glad to say, lots of them were for me!! hehehehe! boy, did i have a good time looking at the presents, when mommy and daddy helped me open them. thanks everyone, for the lovely gifts!! such a memorable first christmas for me!! :)

here's mommy and daddy posing with me, our first christmas together as a family of three!

here's grandma with all her grandchildren... that's cousin valerie in red stripes, and cousin emily (whom i'm staring at... oooh, nice dress!! hehe!)

this shot was taken at crown plaza mutiara hotel, where we had our christmas day dinner, with grandma, and uncle ivan & auntie lillian & cousins. what a b-i-g christmas tree, much bigger than the one we have at home! hehehe!

hehe! such camaraderie when all us kids are gathered round. i'm still too young to join in any of the fun, of course, but i'll be ready same time next year! yeahhh!!

mommy and daddy tried to put me in the stroller the whole night, while they filled their tummies with food (that i can't eat!). the pacifier you see here was meant to keep me calm, but i never really took to it...
all in all, it was a fun christmas... being my first, i can't compare it with any other previous occasions. but i really liked it... the music, the laughter, the atmosphere everywhere (at home and out), the food (though i can't eat of it yet), and of course the presents!! hehehe!! christmas rocks!!! owwwwww!!!!!!!!!!!

'twas the night before Christmas...

on christmas eve, we were all gathered at my grandma's house for dinner and some simple celebration. below are some of the pics taken...

grandma really took the time to put up the christmas decos... look at this pretty li'l corner, complete with christmas tree, baby Jesus in a manger, santa and his elves, and other cute dolls.

mmmm!!! the food smells goood!! uncle ivan's recipe for christmas dinner... instead of having turkey, they had chicken instead. grandma can't wait to start on hers!! hehe! :-) too bad i can't let you know how good it was as i didn't get to taste it!! i had my usual bottle of milk, what else?? sigh, can't wait to grow up a bit more so that i too can eat what mommy and daddy eat. ;)

the atmosphere was certainly jovial, full of fun and laughter! here we are, after dinner and just enjoying each others' company. too bad, i slept through the whole thing... i can't help it, it's too comfortable being in grandma's arms, and in my favourite position too! hehehe!

dessert time! mommy tells me this is called a christmas log... it does look like a big piece of wood, doesn't it? it's supposed to taste good... but again, i can't tell you what it was like, coz i didn't get to eat it.

all these talk about food that i can't eat yet, really makes me sad... i wanna grow up and eat all these good stuff!! *cry* sigh, don't care... get some sleep first!

here's mommy and daddy posing before a big bunch of presents. some of them are mine... hehehehe!

under the weather...

sighh, poor me. was a bit sick a few weeks back. uncle lam, my doc, gave me some medicine to be taken, which daddy fed through a syringe. i tell you, it wasn't the most pleasant experience at all. i was screaming and squirming in protest, but it was in vain... somehow daddy still managed to get the medicine into my mouth. thankfully, it didn't taste too bad, mostly sweet stuff.

i hope i don't ever get sick again. it was horrible, i kept crying for attention, and feeling hot and cold all at the same time. daddy and mommy constantly checked me for my temperature using a device which they inserted into my ear. after a beep, they'd know if my temperature was ok or not. didn't like that too much either... see how i yelled and cried here? thankfully, i survived that episode, and hope to continue growing up without anymore illnesses. i'm sure daddy and mommy shares the same sentiment, coz it hasn't been easy for them also to take care of me whilst i was sick.

uncle george

here's a picture of my uncle george. this is one of the few shots that my daddy has of him (with me in it!). as long as he has his beer with him, he's a happy man! :) i wonder how beer tastes like? hehe!
