chiangmai trip, part 1... up, up and away!!

back in july, mommy and daddy took me for a trip to chiangmai, thailand, together with grandma, uncle ivan, auntie lillian and cousins valerie and emily. daddy helped me to compile a series of postings into a sort of photo narration of our trip there. hope you enjoy reading it as much as i did creating it! ;-)

here's the first shot of us at the beginning of the journey... in a plane high up in the air. my first airplane ride, this... hence the rather apprehensive look.

cousins val and emily are seasoned air travellers... no wonder they look so relaxed and calm.
mama, i feel something popping inside my ears... is it fine?

sandwiches, anyone?!

coupla weeks ago, mommy and daddy took me out for tea break at o'briens @ the curve. very nice place, cool surroudings, good people... dunno about the food, though... mommy still won't let me savour a bit of her triple-decker sandwich! sighhh...

we met up with mommy's godparents (hmm, shall i call them my god-grandparents then??). they were at marche restaurant earlier, so that explains the marche balloon here.

here's a shot of all of us present (except daddy, of course, who's holding the camera!). darn, that watermelon juice looks good... *slurp slurp*

here's uncle boon with his son, cousin justin. he's got his mouth firmly sunken into something... ohh yeah, i remember doing that too at some stage... hehehe!
a rare photo opportunity for daddy, who's almost always the cameraman...
grand-uncle pak leong, mama's godfather, looks well pleased with this shot. he's proud that i didn't squirm away from him, not like everyone else who's tried to carry me. :-) well, he did get me that balloon, plus some other gifts, you know... he thoroughly deserves this shot! :-)

on both feet...

i've learned a new trick... i can stand on my own now!! of course, i'd still need to hold on to something. here's a picture of me, yanking myself up using the cot's side railings...
phew, that took some real effort!! *pant pant*

darn, i still can't hoist myself over these railings yet... i need to get to those toys that i've thrown to the floor, before daddy comes scolding me again...

ok, i'll pose for one more time, daddy... enough shots of me for today!!!
sighh... posing for photos is a tiring job...

"holland, here we come!!"

sniff! sniff! auntie sue and uncle mike are leaving for holland soon. this was their last visit to KL before departing. why did they have to fly off so far away? now i won't be able to see them as often as before. but on the brighter side of things, i'd get a place to stay when i go visit them in holland. heard daddy and mommy talking about it... i really do hope the trip will happen!! "Nederland, hier kom ik!" (for those who know Dutch, i hope that meant "Holland, here i come!"... really dunno how accurate these web language translation tools are!)

i'll miss you, auntie sue... but do come back and visit me whenever you're free, ok? tickets are cheap to you... uncle mike will take care of that, i'm sure! ;) hahaha!
