Holland Trip... Day 12 ... time to go home!

awww, it's finally time to go home to malaysia. we've had an amazing 2 weeks in holland, and all because we had such good hosts as uncle mike and auntie sue. the program was smashing, and the places we visited were beautiful and interesting.

here's checking in at the schipol airport.

mommy had to restrain me because i was running all over the place...

the view outside the airport terminal.

we all sat down for a cup of coffee while waiting to board our plane, catching up on small talk with uncle mike and auntie sue.

all in all, this was a great and fun trip!! i hope we get to do it again soon... mebbe not holland again, but some other place would be nice. mommy and daddy, where is our next stop??? hehehe!

Holland Trip... Day 11 @ Leiden... again

well, it's back to leiden again... yup, 2nd time this trip. well, the ladies were saying they didn't get to shop properly the first round, so we needed to come back here again. sighh... well, we mixed in some sightseeing amidst the frenzied shopping. here are some pics of different parts of leiden. :-)

the ever-ubiquitous windmill, in holland that is.

either i was too tired, or too lazy... i can't remember. but one of it was the reason why mommy was carrying me in this shot. hehehe!

some impressive architecture in leiden town.

a museum on rembrandt's life...

ahh, now i remember... i was too TIRED, that's why mommy was carrying me all the time. can't do without my beauty afternoon nap... hehehe!

photographer photographed!! auntie soo lee with her ever-ready camera on hand...

wow, nice bike... but it would have been better if it had a 500cc engine... ;-)

ahh, lunchtime again. let's do it here at this nice floating restaurant, which overlooks a river.

yep, auntie soo lee's at it again...

cool shades, huh? they work too!! :-)

alright, we've reached the marketplace... and this is where the frenzied shopping begins!

Holland Trip... Day 10 @ Madurodam

hello again, it's been a while since i last updated this blog. the long-running saga of my trip to holland needs a grand finale, i see... hehe! well, the next few posts will be dedicated to this trip, especially on how it ended. :-)

here's a post on day 10 of our trip. we went to this intriguing place called Madurodam, a "small" (pun intended!) amusement park, where everything is miniaturised. for a more detailed explanation about this place, click here. the following pictures tell a thousand words... so i'll leave you with the visual spectaculars. enjoy!

here's the entrance, with mommy posing.

an interesting signpost, in the middle of water!

oh no, there's a leak in the dam... quick, stop it! err, with a finger??

weather was really cold that day. grandpa was wearing an oversized jacket, courtesy of uncle mike! hehe! well, at least it kept him warm... ;-)

well, so much for the small wonders around me... but i can't miss out on my beauty sleep!! zzz... zzzz....

ahh, nothing like a cosy cafeteria to warm ourselves and fill our tummies. this one had a very ikea-ish look and feel... i like it! :-D

auntie jasmine is never far off with her watchful eye... as always!

slurp! slurp!

a coin minting machine... well, u drop in some money, and out comes a flattened one, with some nice motif minted on it.

isn't this gulliver on one of his travels? ;-)

time to go off now... but auntie jasmine and auntie soo lee can't resist one more pic...
